Automotive on-board charger
Working closely with power electronics and PCB engineers to design a casing and cooling system for a prototype automotive rapid on-board charger. The challenges here were adhering to all creepage and clearance requirements whilst providing a compact, lightweight unit with effective cooling.

Automated access system
A slightly larger scale than we often work to. This is an automatically controlled access system for a large waste handling facility.

Glass processing plant
Precisely designed have a lot of experience in the comminution and powder processing sector. This is a turnkey glass milling and air classifying system. Taking course glass waste and producing very fine, consistent glass powder at a rate of up to 5000kg/hr.

Rotary positioning valve
The challenge here was to design a test-bed prototype fail-safe 48v rotary valve for an automotive application to sit in place of a thermostat and give highly precise control over ICE cooling.

Door configuration system
Something a little different. Developing a Driveworks Pro system to instantly generate fully bespoke door models and production document packs to customer driven bespoke specifications.

Laser etching fixture
A departure into the world of agriculture. This is a bespoke fixture that presents cattle ear tags to a laser etching machine for serial numbers to be permanently printed. It's pneumatically operated so that once the tag has been etched onto one face, the fixture rotates and the etching is then done on a second face.

Glass milling machine
Balanced twin mill for crushing granular glass down to fine powders. High output and low energy. At Precisely Designed, we have a lot of experience with the many challenges that powder processing and comminution presents.

Automotive DC-DC converter
Working closely with power electronics and PCB engineers to design a casing and cooling system for a prototype automotive DC-DC converter for a high performance EV drivetrain. An interesting serious of challenges in order to adhere to all creepage and clearance requirements whilst providing a compact, lightweight unit.

Plant commissioning
It's not all 3D CAD and 2D drawings. We sometimes get our hands dirty. This one is the set up and testing of a powder processing demonstration facility.

Powder mill
The challenging world of crushing hard, highly abrasive materials down to fine powders. Managing heat, dust, wear and energy usage keeps us on our toes.

NDT Tool Handling Carriage
An interesting application. This is a handling carriage for mounting to a portable x-ray NDT system so that it can be used to precisely examine pipe runs. Light weight, adjustability and precise operation were the key requirements. The finished design is predominantly made using pre-preg carbon fibre tubes with robust ABS bracketry.

Soldering fixture
Some problems call for the simplest of solutions. This is a clamping fixture for the soldering of pins to PCB's. Prior to this, the client had quality issues with precise placement of the pins and ensuring that they remained in situ during the soldering process. This simple fixture uses an over centre cam clamp and spring plunger to hold the pins in a precisely dimensioned die plate. At Preciseley Designed we have done a lot work with manufacturing fixtures for various industries.

X-Y Table
This client required an accurate x-y slide table for their profiling equipment. It had to work in an environment with abundant airborne abrasive particles so the linear bearings were protected with robust bellow seals.

Single channel fluid sampler
A panel for filtering and regulating fluid samples in preparation for an analyser.

Non-chemical weed suppression
We don't always get to see the fruits of our labour but for this project we did a bit of designing and assembly. This is part of a larger Unimog mounted system that uses high voltages to selectively kill weeds. It's impressive technology.

Paint mixing process improvement
An audit of our clients existing paint mixing process and a raft suggested upgrades to improve quality, efficiency and functionality.

Multi channel sampling device
We have now done a number of projects working with sampling devices, both fluidic and powder based for chemical industries and highly controlled pharmaceutical applications. This particular project was to design and build a large multi-channel sampling panel to cool, regulate and filter fluid samples to present them to an analyser.

Non-chemical weed suppression
Another weed suppression project but this time mounted to articulated utility vehicle for accessing pedestrian areas.
